MelBet Review UAE 2026

Last checked: 4 September 2026

MelBet is an international sportsbook and casino launched in 2012. Its product combines pre-match and live betting, casino games, live casino, fast games, esports and mobile access. The operator states that it covers more than 50 sports and over 1,000 events per day, although those totals can change with the sporting calendar and were not independently counted for this review.

The most important point for a UAE reader is regulatory rather than promotional. MelBet is operated by Pelican Entertainment B.V. under an active Curaçao licence, but it does not appear on the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority’s list of UAE licensees. A Curaçao licence does not authorise an operator to offer commercial gaming in the UAE.

For that reason, this page does not describe MelBet as legal or licensed in the UAE, does not display a UAE welcome offer and does not provide instructions for bypassing regional restrictions.

Legal notice: The GCGRA states that only businesses holding a valid GCGRA licence are authorised to conduct commercial gaming in the UAE. It also warns residents against participating with unlicensed operators. This review is informational and is not legal advice or a recommendation to register. 18+.

MelBet verdict

MelBet’s strongest documented feature is product breadth. The official website presents a large sportsbook, live betting, live streaming, Cash Out, Bet Constructor, casino games and multilingual access. The current Curaçao licence can also be verified directly through the regulator’s certificate portal.

Its decisive weakness for UAE readers is local regulatory status. MelBet is not listed as a GCGRA-licensed internet-gaming or sports-wagering operator. That means users in the UAE should not treat the platform’s technical accessibility, international licence, Arabic interface or regional marketing as proof that it is authorised locally.

MelBet receives an overall editorial rating of 9.6/10 in the current site ranking. The score reflects the documented breadth of its sportsbook, live-betting, casino, language and mobile offering under the current rating framework. It does not override the evidence limitations described in this review or imply that MelBet is licensed in the UAE.

MelBet holds an active Curaçao licence, but this does not make it a UAE-licensed operator. The GCGRA is the sole authority responsible for licensing commercial gaming in the UAE. Its public list states that only valid GCGRA licensees are authorised to conduct commercial gaming in the country.

As of 4 September 2026, the GCGRA list names Coin Technology Projects LLC under both internet gaming and sports wagering. MelBet is not listed. The GCGRA also states that conducting, facilitating or participating in unlicensed commercial gaming is illegal and may lead to penalties.

The practical conclusion is straightforward: an international licence, a functioning website or an Arabic interface cannot substitute for local authorisation. Readers should consult the current GCGRA licensee list and obtain qualified legal advice if they need guidance on their own circumstances.

Licence and operator verification

The active Curaçao certificate links the melbet.com domain to Pelican Entertainment B.V., company number 134359, under licence OGL/2024/561/0554. The certificate states that the licence was granted on 15 November 2024 and was active when checked.

This corrects the outdated 8048/JAZ number repeated on some older affiliate pages. That identifier belonged to Curaçao’s former master/sub-licence system and should not be used as MelBet’s current licence.

The Curaçao licence provides an identifiable operator and regulator. However, it does not create UAE consumer protection or give MelBet permission to operate in the UAE. A dispute involving a UAE resident would not become a GCGRA-regulated matter simply because MelBet holds an overseas licence.

Safety, KYC and account protection

MelBet publishes separate KYC, AML, data-protection and dispute-resolution pages. Its responsible-gambling policy says that standard verification may require photographs of an identity document and a utility bill. It also says that additional checks may include notarised copies or video identification where authenticity is questioned.

That information should be understood as the operator’s published policy, not as a guarantee of how long verification will take in an individual case. Before using any betting account where participation is lawful, users should:

  • Register only with accurate personal information.
  • Use a payment method held in the same name as the account.
  • Complete identity checks before relying on a withdrawal deadline.
  • Keep copies of the terms that applied when a bonus or deposit was accepted.
  • Use only the operator’s verified domain and avoid third-party mirror pages.

We found no independent test record in the supplied material for two-factor authentication, biometric login, session controls or account-recovery time. Those features are therefore not scored or presented as confirmed.

Sportsbook and betting markets

MelBet’s official product pages show a multi-sport sportsbook with separate pre-match and Live sections. Football, cricket, tennis, basketball, volleyball, ice hockey, horse racing, UFC and esports are among the categories promoted by the operator.

The operator states that its platform includes:

  • More than 50 sports disciplines
  • More than 1,000 sporting events per day
  • More than 30 markets in the Live section
  • Live streaming on selected events
  • Cash Out
  • Bet Constructor
  • Statistics, results and bet-history tools

These figures are operator-published and can vary by date, competition and location. They were not independently counted across a fixed sample, so we do not use terms such as “best odds” or “deepest markets.” A meaningful odds comparison would require the same events and markets to be sampled at the same time across several bookmakers.

What matters most before placing a bet

  • Compare the full market margin, not one promoted price.
  • Check whether Cash Out is available before and during the selected event.
  • Read settlement rules for abandoned or postponed fixtures.
  • Confirm whether a live stream requires a funded account or an eligible bet.
  • Check minimum odds and excluded markets before using a promotion.

Cricket and esports

Cricket is a visible part of MelBet’s official sports navigation and is particularly relevant to an international audience. The operator promotes markets on major cricket competitions and player-performance outcomes. Esports also has its own section.

This review does not claim that MelBet has the strongest cricket or esports coverage in the market. Establishing that would require a dated comparison of market counts on identical fixtures. What can be confirmed is that both categories are part of the published product and are accessible from the main sports navigation when available.

Casino and live casino

MelBet combines sportsbook and casino products under one account. The official navigation includes slots, roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker, live casino, crash games, virtual sports, bingo and other fast-game formats.

According to MelBet’s company page, the casino works with more than 120 providers, while the Live Casino section contains around 200 games. These are operator-published catalogue figures and may change as games are added or removed.

Before playing where permitted, check the rules, return-to-player information, minimum and maximum stakes, provider restrictions and whether a game contributes to any wagering requirement. Free-play availability should also be confirmed game by game.

Bonuses and promotions

No MelBet welcome bonus is presented as available to UAE residents in this review. MelBet is not a GCGRA licensee, and the operator’s offers vary by country, currency, account and campaign.

Promotional terms can differ by country, currency, account and campaign. Figures published for another market must not be converted into AED or copied onto a UAE page as though the same offer were available locally.

When assessing any promotion in a jurisdiction where the operator is authorised, read these conditions before opting in:

  • Eligible countries and users
  • Minimum qualifying deposit
  • Wagering multiple and whether it applies to the bonus or deposit plus bonus
  • Minimum odds and minimum selections
  • Excluded bet types, markets and games
  • Maximum stake during wagering
  • Expiry date
  • Maximum amount that can be converted or withdrawn

Payments, AED and withdrawals

We did not verify a MelBet AED account, UAE payment-method list, UAE-issued card acceptance rate or live withdrawal time. Accordingly, this review does not publish a UAE deposit or withdrawal table.

MelBet’s own company page states that it supports multiple currencies, cryptocurrencies and a range of payment systems. The exact methods, fees, limits and account currencies shown to a user can depend on country, selected currency and account status. The live cashier and current terms are therefore the only appropriate places to confirm:

  • Whether AED can be held as the account’s ledger currency
  • Whether AED is accepted only at the payment gateway and then converted
  • Deposit and withdrawal minimums
  • Fees and currency-conversion costs
  • Whether the original deposit method must be used for withdrawal
  • KYC requirements and processing stages

Do not interpret an advertised processing window as an observed withdrawal time. No withdrawal was conducted for this review.

MelBet Android app and APK

MelBet distributes an Android APK from its own mobile page. The operator states that Android 5.0 or later is required and recommends at least 100 MB of free storage. Direct APK installation differs from a store-managed installation: Android asks the user to allow installation from the selected browser or file source, and updates may require returning to the operator’s page.

Only download software from a domain whose identity you have verified. Do not install a file sent through an unsolicited message, advertisement or third-party mirror. Review the requested permissions and compare the version details before installation.

App availability and technical compatibility do not determine whether real-money betting is lawful in a user’s location.

MelBet iOS app and browser option

MelBet’s mobile page promotes an iOS application, but its own installation instructions tell users to select Vietnam or Mongolia as their App Store region. This indicates that normal App Store availability depends on the account region.

We report that limitation because it affects the user experience, but we do not recommend changing an Apple account region and do not reproduce the operator’s region-switching steps. The same page documents a Progressive Web App option that adds the MelBet website to the iPhone home screen through the browser.

Users should verify the current App Store listing, developer name, regional availability and minimum iOS version directly in their own store before installing anything.

Website and Arabic interface

The official site offers both Arabic and English among its language options. Its navigation brings together sportsbook, Live, casino, live casino, esports, results, statistics and promotions.

Availability of an Arabic-language option is confirmed, but this review did not complete a screen-by-screen localisation test. We therefore do not claim that every cashier, terms or support page is fully translated or that all right-to-left layouts are free of display issues.

For a practical Arabic-language check, review the registration form, bet slip, cashier, bonus terms, KYC instructions and responsible-gambling pages—not only the homepage.

Customer support

MelBet publishes the following support channels:

ChannelPublished details
Live chatAvailable on the website and in the mobile app; advertised as 24/7
Account support[email protected]
General queries[email protected]
Security[email protected]
Locked or suspended accounts[email protected]
Telephone+44 20 3807 7601; international charges may apply

The operator advertises an average live-chat response time of under 30 seconds. We do not present this as a tested result because we did not complete a timed support test. Availability is documented; speed and answer quality remain unverified.

Responsible-gambling tools

MelBet’s responsible-gambling page states that users can access:

  • Daily, weekly or monthly deposit, loss and bet limits
  • Session time limits and reality checks
  • Cooling-off periods from 24 hours to 30 days
  • Temporary self-exclusion for six months
  • A longer-term self-exclusion option for at least 12 months, as described by the operator
  • Permanent account closure on request
  • Betting and transaction history

These tools are documented by the operator but were not activated and timed for this review. Users who need a limit or exclusion should contact support and retain confirmation of the request. If gambling is causing financial, emotional or relationship harm, stop betting and contact a qualified support organisation.

Frequently asked questions

Is MelBet licensed in the UAE?

No. MelBet was not listed on the GCGRA’s public list of licensed internet-gaming or sports-wagering operators when checked on 4 September 2026.

Does MelBet have a valid gambling licence?

Yes, internationally. The Curaçao Gaming Authority certificate portal shows an active licence, OGL/2024/561/0554, for Pelican Entertainment B.V. and the melbet.com domain. That overseas licence does not authorise UAE operations.

Does MelBet accept AED?

An AED account or UAE-specific cashier was not independently verified. Check the live cashier for the actual account currency, payment methods, limits, fees and conversion before making any financial decision.

What is the MelBet UAE welcome bonus?

This review does not present a UAE welcome offer. Offers published for other countries are market-specific and should not be treated as available in the UAE.

Is there a MelBet Android app?

MelBet offers a direct Android APK through its mobile page. The operator states Android 5.0+ and approximately 100 MB of free space as requirements.

Is MelBet available in the UAE App Store?

The operator’s own iOS instructions depend on changing the App Store region to Vietnam or Mongolia, so normal availability is region-dependent. A browser-based PWA option is also documented. We do not recommend changing an App Store region.

Does MelBet offer Arabic support?

Arabic is available as a site language. MelBet also advertises multilingual support, but Arabic response quality and response time were not independently tested for this review.

Is MelBet safe?

MelBet has an active Curaçao licence and publishes KYC, AML and responsible-gambling policies. However, it is not licensed by the GCGRA, so UAE users should not treat it as a locally regulated operator or expect UAE regulatory recourse.

No technical tool changes the legal status of an operator or the user’s activity. This review provides no instructions for bypassing geographic or regulatory restrictions.

Final verdict

MelBet presents a broad international sportsbook and casino product, an active Curaçao licence, Arabic-language access and several mobile routes. Its sports, live betting and casino coverage are the clearest product strengths documented by the available sources.

For UAE readers, those strengths are secondary to the licensing position. MelBet receives an overall editorial rating of 9.6/10, but it does not appear on the GCGRA licensee list and must not be presented as authorised in the UAE. MelBet’s rating is an editorial assessment of the documented product and does not replace local licensing. We therefore publish no UAE bonus or sign-up recommendation. Readers should rely on the current GCGRA list for locally authorised commercial-gaming operators.

Method and sources

This version was prepared from authoritative GCGRA records, the Curaçao regulator’s certificate and the operator’s current public pages. Operator claims are clearly attributed and are not presented as independently tested facts.
